Dissapointing Products..

Rather then doing another monthly favourites, I thought I would mix it up do a disappointing products post.

1. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream Sun Defence for Face with SPF 50

Where to begin? For such a tiny tube this is a freakin hefty price tag at £22 pounds..(I'm still wincing)

I didn't just throw this into my basket, I'd read glowing reviews online.

Alas I don't feel this does anything more for my skin, it hasn't prevented breakouts or made it more supple, the only reason I use it is for the SPF 50, and feel that because of the price, I should use every last drop.

I also hate the smell of this.. it's a perfumed lemon kind of scent, definitely not my favourite.

I won't be re purchasing fo sure!

2. Revolution Make up Eyeshadow palette Iconic 3

This has been dubbed as the dupe for the Urban decay Naked 3.

Again I really didn't love this.. The light pink shimmery shade in this, just kind of flakes. There's also quite allot of fall out to the shadows as well.

I think mainly what I'm not so keen on is actually the rose tones of this palette, and I'm not sure they really suit many.

I would however recommend buying this if you aren't sure about the Naked 3 to see if these tones are really for you.

Holy Brow lily lolo review

I've spoken before about how it's hard to find things to define my eyebrows, without looking like a child has drawn them on with a, brown or orange crayon.

I know it's kind of fashionable at the moment to have a kind of wet look to the brows, but I much prefer the natural Cara delivigne look.

Having stumbled across a lily lolo bronzed shimmer brick, and loved it. When I got an email about the brow kit and saw the shade, light, I had to try it!

So the brow powder is on the right, and then the wax to set it is on the left. It's a real diddy little kit, but there seems to be a lot of product in there. I tend to apply the wax with my finger over the top, once I have filled them in

I also opted for what they recommend to apply it, which has an angled brush on one end and a spooley on the other for taming your brows.

At first I really wasn't sure about the angled brush, as it's not soft at all. I really didn't like it at first, and tried a different brush, and then went back to it.

I quickly realised that the harder brush is so much better for picking up the powder, and filling in your brows, Duh !

This is a great shade for me and I'm really impressed with this product I can see me going back to it again and again

Have a look at their website, they're a British company with some great high quality products in my opinion :D

Monthly Favourites April

Well last Month I didn't really  have much to show you bouquet wise,

But this month I do Huzzah.

1. First up are design's for a renewal of vows ceremony where the Bride and Groom had already married in their native China..
It's always nice when someone see's something they like from your website and asks you to recreate it for them.
Astilbe and Deep water Pink Roses make a contrasting yet subtle impression.

2. Was definately a Fav
Her Bouquet was a simple tied posy with trailing foliage and Pussy willow.

The Brides Mother had grown up in Japan, so for her table arrangements she wanted to evoke the Ikebana simplicity, but still keeping an English country garden feel.

And on her tables she had little Origami cranes as Place settings. Which I personally loved.

3. Was for an Opening of a new restaurant called 'The Dumpling Tree' in Cambridge, Gold and Yellow are considered Good Luck in Chinese culture.
Love the use of Photinia in the foliage and the big Bloom Chrysanths.

Beauty wise there are a few new products I've just recieved and want to get a little more use out of them before I add them to my fav's or do any reviews.

Monthly Favourites March

Ok so apologies for the delay, but March is my birthday month so, there's been quite alot of favouriting ya know!

1st up is Scent

Pure seduction by Victoria's Secret

I literally am in love with this scent. I need more of it, and now there's a store in London, that's where I'm heading next week! :D

I had a body lotion which I bought in the states years ago, which smells like this, it's so fruity and fresh LOVE IT.

2nd

I didn't really have a Bouquet fav' for this month so I went with a flower,
oh yeaaah.

Here's a pretty Brasica I saw in Ireland! :D

3rd Make up

One of my birthday presents was the Urban decay shattered face palette, which I've pretty much been using everyday.

In the first draw it contains shadows which are kind of neautral with a dark purple in there aswell.

And in the second draw there's some gorgeous blushes, and highlighter, which I have been alternating between,as we go into spring!

It also comes with the highly sought after 247 eyliner pencil in black, and a lip crayon which again the pigmentation is glorious.

My favourite look at the moment is to blend the darker purple into my crease and then the lighter shades over the lid. Then another new discovery was this little gem from wouldya believe it 17.

I really like to dust this over the lids which gives a gorgeous light shimmer for everyday, and then you can apply more, for a really dramatic look for evening.

I'm a definately gonna get more of these colours, they're too brilliant!

February Favourites

Hey Glitterpixie's,

Well, February being the month of Valentine's day and all there's no suprise as a florist that a big whopper of a red rose bouquet was going to be in my favourites for this month :D.

It was a whopper! But well worth the reaction it got and enjoyed doing all the prety finishing touches :)

Beauty Favourites.

1. MUA eyeshadow palette UNDRESSED
Well after lusting after the Urban decay naked palettes for ages I did a bit of research online. And apparently the best dupe in the biz is the MUA Undressed Palette, this retails for 4 pounds. 4!! Pounds! While Urban decay is glorious. Alot of the reviews I have watched said if you don't have an Urban decay Palette the MUA one is Just as good if not almost the same. So I saved myself 32 pounds and got the MUA one.

Well I tells ya I wasn't dissapointed beautiful shadows lasts all day perfect shimmery tones Love it.

I'm ashamed to say I'd always kind of steered clear from MUA because it's alot cheaper, I just assumed the quality wouldn't be great how wrong was I?! There is also a perfect MAC highlighter dupe, which I'm itching to get my mits on too!

 2. Sleek Eyebrow stylist,

I tried to get a good photo of mine but I couldn't! So here's a swatch. It's a retractable pencil with a spooley at the other end. This is a great shade for me, and after getting their mini brow kit in dark, as the light in this, just looked too orangey.  It is just a touch too dark for me, I tend to use the brow kit to define the shape of my brows, and fill in with this little pencil. I have the shade light in the Eyebrow stylist. After hunting everywhere it's so hard to find things for medium blonde hai,r that istn't bright orange.. ! You can see better description and picture's from http://www.sleekmakeup.com/eyes/eyebrows

Monthly Favourites January

Bouquets

Well it would appear some people are already in the Valentines mood eh.

1. A pretty pink and white number. This has more of a compact 'London style' to the bouquet.

2. Another big and blingy bouquet for a regular with heart picks in there

Beauty Products:

1.Lancome Hypnose mascara. Lovely mascara, it's not the water proof  one, but it's a great everyday eyelash poppin mascara it doesn't clump and separates lashes well.

2.Loreal superliner I have to say I'm really impressed with this as someone who likes really precise cat flicks. And having tried a bourjois one that was just average, I was hoping this was going to be good. I think this is thick (I didn't realise at first that you shake the container) long lasting and precise the applicator is a sponge tip. I'd definitely repurchase this and I'd also like to try more of these eyeliners, as they have a few in this range!
