Downtown Inspiration

Bloggerpeeps

I'm not one for period drama's but I'm determined to give Downtown Abbey ago! After hearing people rave about the flowers. And after seeing possibly my all time FAV florist Simon Lycett do a Downtown inspired arrangement on the Alan Titchmarsh show, I thought it best to a have a look see!

I know there are lots of AVID Downtown fans out there, and I'd love to know what you think of the floral styles.

Are more traditional styles coming back into fashion?

I love a modern design but I suppose, are we always looking to the past, when looking for inspiration..?

Hmmm..

If anyone reads by little blog I'd love to know what you think. :D

A quartet of Cupcakes

Ahh an order today made me smile.

A quartet of cupcakes if you will. These floral cupcakes are becoming quite the popular item, on our website

I need to order a few more of their pretty cases!

What's nice about the order today is that they were all for different people and so, they could all be different.

Low fat dontcha know :) (please don't eat the floral cupcakes, they're made from real flowers, and will most certainly give you a tummy upset if you were to tuck into one) :S

I mentioned my lovely scissors in the previous post. Well a bargainous find (yes, it's now a word), in Asda for about £1.50 I think is a rather nifty tool pouch I do like a lot.

It's so useful when I'm running around looking for my scissors, (half the time they're in my hand).

They may still have them- I'm not sure :S !

WHOA!

Ok Ok, so mahoosive blog neglect going on. But I want to get the hang of this malarky properly!

Where to start..well since going to Ikebana, all that time ago, allot has happened!

I decided to go freelance in the floristry world, as I wasn't being offered much work where I was.

And started up on my own, providing floristry services to Cambridge.

Have a look at my website www.morgankane.co.uk

I've seen some rather swish looking blogs of late, and found them rather inspiring and snazzy.

I don't know how to get special buttons on here yet, but I'll give it a go...

I'd like to use this space to tell you about what I've been up to with my Floristry, and also anything else I love, or have been inspired by...

Why the heck not eh?!

Floristrywise, I'm lurvvving my new Japanese floristry scissors. Which are Amahhzing they don't rust and you use special oil to clean them.

I ordered some oil to clean them, and it comes in a little dripper bottle with Japanese writing on, which made it feel a bit more special.

If you're a florist and you're reading this I'm sure you know it's difficult to have nice nails! Often if you're rather busy your hands end up looking like a corpses, green and all. (SEXY)

So it's always nice to give you're fingernails a bit of a makeover now and again!

So at the moment I'm rocking a models own nail varnish in Apple pie. With a scratch and sniff on the lid, Once you get past the varnishy smell it does kinda smell a bit like apple pie lol!

:D
