Pretty Pink's and Purple Wedding Flower's

It's really nice when a bride asks you for an unusual choice, be that a colour combination, flower content, ribbon detailing, venue decoration, you name it the possibilities are endless.

I really like the ribbon detailing on the buttonholes ,

Have a look!

Yves rocher brand focus

Having spent some time in Brussels recently, I was really looking for good quality brands I don't normally see.

So I stumbled into yves rocher, items  I bought in store were a rose gold water proof eyeliner, and a mascara that was on offer.

I was really impressed with both products,  but what I was really drawn to being a florist, is the botanical back story and sourcing of products, which you can find on there website herehttp://www.yves-rocher.co.uk/control/com/uk/our_story/yves_rocher__1959/once_upon_a_time/

In short they source allot of there elements from a botanical garden which I just love..!
Upon further investigation you can also buy from there uk website ..hooray, so I bought their 4 in 1 blemish balm, as although I love my la Roche posay effaclar duo, they have hitched the price of it up, so, I was looking for something to fill this void.
What's really great also, is you get a free gift I got a full size perfume, and also when ordering online you get a choice of three different samples to choose!

Alden Biesen Fleur amour festival Belgium

Fleur amour is held every yeah at a castle in a the very small town of Bilzen.

I made the decision to stay in Brussels and commute to Bilzen for the florist's day which was held on the Monday.

I stayed at the hotel bloom! Which is right next door to a botanical gardens. ( how could I resist?)
Quite a cool kitsch  place each room is decorated by a different artist.

It wasn't a terribly easy commute as even though I told the cab driver ce,ntraal station I was taken to the midi station. No harm done though the guy at the info desk set me right in the end! And a few more lost in translation moments on the way haha but my ditzy blondeness served me well as I found my way!

The event was a real spectacle I felt quite overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin.

Having booked the florist day I was meant to get a free lunch which I somehow managed to miss I tried to go back to the central podium to watch a demo I waited along with a few other people for them to begin but nothing seemed to happen it seemed to be when they felt like it. But I got talking to some other British florists who were also freelance which was really lovely. I think I saw most things but the venue was so large no doubt I missed something's. It's just nice to be inspired. They had quite allot of sundries on sale too which was tempting but as I didn't have a large case I had to reign it in.

I think if I was going to go again I would want to go for 2 days as the first evening they had a catwalk show, which sounded awesome. And then that would give me more time to get my bearings and watch more of the demonstrations.

But think I did pretty well for my first trip there. There is another one called winter flora held in Bruge too in November but we shall see! I have to admit I much preferred this event to Chelsea it really is for florists and you can get close to all the arrangements. I was very much trying to stick my head into things and try and work out how they had done it!

July favourites

July has been a very busy month, but had to share these awesome products

1. Bourjois rouge edition velvet, in ole flamingo

I love red lipstick, but decided to try something new, and having bought a couple of tops in this exact colour, I thought I'd try it!

Really love the way it looks it doesn't smudge  but occasionally there's a little transfer. Love this especially  with all the bright colours that are in fashion.

It's a real Fuschia pink so it's either go hard or go home when it comes to this shade!

2. Elf pallete Little Black Beauty book : Warm edition
Elf which is an American brand which stands for Eyes Lips Face has finally come to the U.K
I was unsure about the quality of the eyeshadows at first but litterally you get your money's worth for sure. Lots of varieties of colour to create really different looks! And it's pretty inexpensive, and is the perfect size to put in your make-up bag! As you can see..mine is well loved!

  3. Maybeline black shock gel liner. Ermagerd now I consider myself quite nifty with your standard liquid eyeliner. And gel liner that you use a little brush and a pot. But this THIS is exactly what it says on the tin, a gel liner pen. Long lasting creamy formula absolutely love it I've no idea if it's as good as the new benefit one, which is also a gel liner pen. I personally won't be bothering trying the benefit one as it's so expensive and I love this,  been using it every day!
4. Marc Jacobs Daisy dream. I haven't bought a new perfume in a while and love the freshness of this scent it's a bit of an expensive treat to myself but really love it and will definitely be keeping the bottle it's so cute!

Dissapointing Products..

Rather then doing another monthly favourites, I thought I would mix it up do a disappointing products post.

1. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream Sun Defence for Face with SPF 50

Where to begin? For such a tiny tube this is a freakin hefty price tag at £22 pounds..(I'm still wincing)

I didn't just throw this into my basket, I'd read glowing reviews online.

Alas I don't feel this does anything more for my skin, it hasn't prevented breakouts or made it more supple, the only reason I use it is for the SPF 50, and feel that because of the price, I should use every last drop.

I also hate the smell of this.. it's a perfumed lemon kind of scent, definitely not my favourite.

I won't be re purchasing fo sure!

2. Revolution Make up Eyeshadow palette Iconic 3

This has been dubbed as the dupe for the Urban decay Naked 3.

Again I really didn't love this.. The light pink shimmery shade in this, just kind of flakes. There's also quite allot of fall out to the shadows as well.

I think mainly what I'm not so keen on is actually the rose tones of this palette, and I'm not sure they really suit many.

I would however recommend buying this if you aren't sure about the Naked 3 to see if these tones are really for you.

Holy Brow lily lolo review

I've spoken before about how it's hard to find things to define my eyebrows, without looking like a child has drawn them on with a, brown or orange crayon.

I know it's kind of fashionable at the moment to have a kind of wet look to the brows, but I much prefer the natural Cara delivigne look.

Having stumbled across a lily lolo bronzed shimmer brick, and loved it. When I got an email about the brow kit and saw the shade, light, I had to try it!

So the brow powder is on the right, and then the wax to set it is on the left. It's a real diddy little kit, but there seems to be a lot of product in there. I tend to apply the wax with my finger over the top, once I have filled them in

I also opted for what they recommend to apply it, which has an angled brush on one end and a spooley on the other for taming your brows.

At first I really wasn't sure about the angled brush, as it's not soft at all. I really didn't like it at first, and tried a different brush, and then went back to it.

I quickly realised that the harder brush is so much better for picking up the powder, and filling in your brows, Duh !

This is a great shade for me and I'm really impressed with this product I can see me going back to it again and again

Have a look at their website, they're a British company with some great high quality products in my opinion :D
